What's up with all the 18+ rules?

Like seriously, everyone thinks that if a player isn't over 18 their not good enough for their "clan" or whatever. I've met a very large number of 12-15 year olds who were some of the best dayz players i ever met. They are nicer, more respectful, and have better schedules. I see all these clans that are turning down potential warriors because of age. Anyone else feel like they are a little harsh?

Younger players tend to be less " mature " not saying all but a majority of them, theres no denying that.

Why take a chance when it so rarely works out ?

because there are a lot of people who are under 18 who cant act grown up. who scream and cry and talk and whine (they are generally refered to as 'squeekers') and you have to hold thier hand in everything because they cant figure out how to play the game.

its a good policy in my opinion.

I've never heard of a 16 year old squeaker. Plus, i rarely have to hold someone's hand who's under 18. A lot of them are actually mature if given the chance, it's just that people generalize because of the steryotype that anyone whos not an adult is a whining ♥♥♥♥♥.

imo opinion its a bad policy if they own the game they have the right to play it as they see fit you dont have to listen to them they dont disadvantage you or play unfairly with hacks you have no reason to remove them

Grown-ups can go unmature aswell, I don't think every ♥♥♥♥ thread this forum have seen have been made by only mature people.

But you turn young people away, think if you have a younger brother or sister, how do they act in your presens?(Think about that) I'm quite sure they're more unmature than you are unless you've had step in the wrong direction with the wrong friends.

Its the internet so face it, you've said ♥♥♥♥♥♥ things to people over the net that you would never say face to face to someone in real life.

Most underage kids i met on the internet are annoying little ♥♥♥♥♥,so i can imagine that people who are a bit older like me (30) just want to play and hang out on ts with older people.
There are enough clans that don't have this rule,so go play there.

actually they don't, the game has an age restriction and online play is unregulated.

Maybe 'adults' just don't want to play with under 18s because they wouldn't normally hang out with them in real life. Playing DayZ isn't just about the game, it's also about the interaction with squad members, which is to some extent down to being on same wavelength

If ppl of different levels of maturity even try to communicate or interact the younger groups always seem to know everything w/o really having enough practical life experiance to understand basic concepts of communication.
Us old ppl know and accept this as we were young at one time and remember how we were compared to all weve learned since then.

Young ppl remind us of ourselves at that age, before we really started to mature and get to know the world around us.

People our age either have kids your age or have to be around our nieces/nephews so were all to familiar with " kids " from our daily interactions. We play games to escape our real life and have some " adult " time with fellow adults..................... kids arent allowed into bars or clubs where adults go to unwind and relax.................. why on earth would we want to deal with kids all day then be forced to play with them at night ?? Kids are a menace ( but we love the ones of our friends /family ) and best endured in as small a dose as possible even IRL.

Idc really, i look at all children who play mature games the same way i look at the children who play GTA online, i have no reason to play/interact with a kid in a game that was design for a mature audience..


I honestly wouldn't care if companies started to actively ban some of this children who shouldn't be here in the first place, do you click (Yes i am 18+) on adult sites also when you shouldn't?

i think some people confuse the age 8 with the age 14-17.
