Where can I find some barrels?

I've been looking for barrels for quite a while and it seems that I can't really find any. So where would be the best towns/buildings to find barrels?

any industrial. Just run through any town and go to every shed/barn/garage and you will find one.
Ive found around 10 over a few week period. Normally just in those little sheds behind houses

I was finding ten an hour. They're pretty common, and you find even more on the streets around the place, dropped by players or used as bait. Are you plaing a completely full server?

I've heard that they are limited based a max total per server. If true, they will only spawn so many so if there are a lot of players using them on a server, they'll be rarer. I've personally not noticed this all too much, but servers I know to be low pop private hives have them all over, 2-3 per town while servers I expect more bases on seemingly have less. Might just be my luck though.

i find them in the little wooden sheds with the doors that dont close and the little shelter attatched , i couldnt pick up the last one i found

nah, empty, lid on lid off, didnt budge, i was gonna fill it and leave it in the road

ya know what would be very cool and very funny, if you could hide inside a barrel and wait for someone to open it, so the screen would just show your view as if you were in a barrel looking up, or knock someone unconcious and stuff them in, they could do that if they wanted to.

Not right now I don't think, but possibly on the new engine.

or pierce a hole in it and watch out for people, imagine being scared to approach a barrel , u could also booby trap them if they are opened and/or moved

and maybe you gotta find the tools to make them safe if they boobytrapped
