Deer pelt

Got a deer pelt but im wondering how do i make the bag?

I know you can make a backpack out of boar pelt but never tryed with deer.

Just get a rope and combine it with the pelt.

Tried a rope, sticks, a knife. think ive got the wrong one for the bag

Keep the pelt mate, they've changed the way you make the bag. You're gonna need a barrel and some garden lime first, cause now you've gotta turn that pelt into five pieces of leather and then with a leather sewing kit, combine and choose "leather sack". I've been getting the bag by trapping three or four rabbits with the snare then tanning them all together and getting six or eight pieces of tanned leather.

BTW - do you need to set up the snares anywhere in particular? Or can you just set a few in the forest or open grasslands and hope for the best? :j

Just pop them into a field and wait. I often run some 300m away and watch with binoculars. You can see when the snare catches/fails. Great way to get pelts/meat early on if you can get the wire. Usually get 4 tries per snare.

I would save up skin, tan it and create the vest rather than leather backpack... additional 10 slots of storage beats anything up to Pers. Carrier and high-capacity vest, which are both military grade equipment.

Oh yeah OP - tanning hides into leather is not an instantaneous thing. Not sure how long it takes since i ran off to do some looting for a few minutes and it was done when i returned.

Tanning hides takes like 2 minutes.

I'm impatient lol. Actually I'm using the newui and sometimes it makes you wonder WTF is going on. I had two protective cases that were turning into 3, one rifle turned into 2, really slow movement of items in inventory on a low ping server. The items weren't duping but seemed to be leaving ghosts around for several minutes.
