help i can't replace the battery

You don't need the Wrench, or at least you shouldn't. Are you using the old ui? If so, pop the hood, find the model of the battery, look at it and remove it. Make sure you have room for it. Using the new ui, you can just go into the vehicle's inventory and drag it out.

There are now two ui's, which means user interface. Basically, the menu you use to move stuff around in your inventory or change options, the server list, that's what the ui is to you. To enable it, go to Steam library, right click DayZ, go to properties, launch options, type -newui and then hit ok. It gives a decent fps boost, takes some getting used too and removes the status icons (hungry, thirsty, sick) from the inventory menu. A lot of people dislike it but personally I prefer it.

Look at the battery and remove it that way.

You don't remove the battery by looking at it's inventory or to drag it out.

Look at the place where the battery is located and you should be an icon to remove it.

This is for the normal #NewUI

Yeah you will need to restart the game. If you don't like the new ui you can change back whenever you like.

Not sure exactly what you meant here but just to clarify in case you meant you can't drag out batteries/plugs at all, the new ui allows you to drag off plugs, batteries, doors, hoods, boots, wheels... etc.

Old UI allows you to remove the battery but looking at it (dont involve the inv here) actually looking at the battery and you will see an icon to remove it, same goes for the headlamps, looking at those will show an icon.

The new UI you can remove the parts by going inside the vehicle's inv and drag them off (easier to do as you dont have to walk around the car looking for the part you want to remove.
