How to activate night vision goggles on PC?

Ok, I'm confused about how to switch on the night vision goggles, I open my actions menu, look for the right one to click and see nothing that even indicates where to click to make the night vision goggles come down over my eyes.

What am I doing wrong?

just hold "L" while wearing the nvg.
