Not Poison but after the next update to 1.26 you will have the chance of getting sick from wolf and bear meat.

That's dumb, bear meat is only dangerous if you eat a LOT of it, or ate it raw. And by a lot of it I'm talking more than 60lbs worth in a week. And raw, well it's just not a good idea to eat any meat raw anymore. But some meat is safe raw, if you had to. And dog/wolf? pfft, so stupid.

So i'm confused, isn't this game all about realism? So they add the most unrealistic wolf spawns of all time, then remove the ability to eat them? So you just waste your ammo on the 7th pack of wolves in 20 minutes for nothing? Devs need the sick dog treatment IMMEDIATELY

I wouldn't say killing wolves is for nothing - you still get a pelt, guts, edible fat and a nice hat. And if you have vitamins, you can still eat the meat as well.

your argument to them making the meat pretty much useless is "Noones stopping you from eating that meat" is comical. Then you proceed to give such a terrible example of an unrealistic feature. I wonder when they're going to add a peanut allergy to the game, maybe we will have to fight off an allergic reaction. I hope they add toilets to the next update, and if you don't find one in time your guy just starts groaning because of a tummy ache

Also it is pretty much useless when you encounter wolves more than you encounter humans (Realism) Spend 4 days finding ammo for your gun, so you can fight off 3 packs of wolves! Let me open this can of peaches and somehow misplace 6 slices of peaches because i opened it with a steak knife

Yes, you are confused .. the game is all about survival, not "realism" .. wolves are a threat to survival. Killing them is a means to survive (them killing you). Not getting any meat out of the encounter, is a threat to survival.

I don't even know where everyone's finding all of these animals since I've ran into 2 bears and a pack of wolves across ~20 hours of playtime the last few days with a decent amount of travel through inland/northern woodlands

As an added note, if this is the real reason, then they should cut down on the amount of canned food you get off of killing military infected. You'd think that being able to walk into a small encampment like Balota/Stary Sobor and walking out with 3-5 cans of bacon would be considered too much, but apparently that's perfectly fine while wild animals are too much
