Medicine , high food and water and good insulation will prevent you from getting sick,
Thanks for the tips, I know all that. I just find it very frustrating to have it rain pretty much once every hour. I played for 3 hours today and it just started raining for the 4th time so I logged.
I was frustrated earlier because I got disconnected while dealing with Zeds and when I came back I was uncon. I had full health and everything was going great before disconnecting. Came to and couldn't move. Couldn't open inventory. Notta. Logged to see if it would fix it and it booted me to the coast as a freshie. You'd think that after having the same bug since launch that these devs would have fixed that by now. Still irritated from that. Some things never change with this game. I don't mind dying from zeds if I make a mistake or if a played zonks me, but to lose everything from a bug, that burns my ass.
I usually play very safe and most times I’ll sit inside and wait out most of a storm if I’m feeling cozy and patient. Having to wring out clothes and make a fire every 10-20 mins gets old fast. And I hate chancing-it and running around in the rain and possibly getting sick. I swear I’m the most unlucky survivor ever when it comes to hospitals and medical buildings. Someone has ALWAYS been there before me and I end up with some sweet, sweet surgical gloves. 🤭
People who like the rain frequency are either masochists or are playing "vanilla"++++ with infinite/increased stamina
As for me, where I live it's pretty much been drought conditions and DayZ rain literally makes me feel cooler.
