DayZ
Dayz Server setup Windows 2019 Server
I have installed Dayz server, setup the config files, opened ports on both server and router, configured Windows server 2019 all updates everything. When I run the Dayz server it logs in connects updates and then it goes into IDLE mode waiting for incoming connections. When I go to community servers via Xbox i cannot see my server anywhere. Does anyone know if there is a delayed refresh for new servers and that mine needs to be online a certain amount of time before being picked up. I am kinda hoping someone has done this similar setup and knows what I am talking about, some help would be appreciated.

DayZ is not cross-platform, so if the Server you are running is a PC server, you will not be able to play on it with your Xbox, even if the server is running correctly.

tbh, I have never heard of anyone hosting their own local Xbox server on a PC, only of those hosted on Rental services like Nitrado who provide the Console server software.

If there is anyone that may know how to do it, it would be "Scalespeeder Gaming" on YouTube.
I'm trying to setup DayZ to play on PC on a Hyper-V guest (Server 2016) on my home network. It fails to start because Battleye fails to initialize. Does anyone have any ideas? Does BattlEye not like virtualization?

I have the Same server running a 7 Days to Die server when i turn it on. I have not found comprehensive instructions on setting up a DayZ Dedicated Server.

Thank you for any input....
I can confirm BattleEye doesn't work on virtualized environment.

You wanna share your graphic card through your virtual machine to play a game with a kernel level access anticheat to layer your operating system?

Well, you can't.

Some anti-cheats may straight up ban you if you manage to make it work under a virtual machine and it notices / detects it.

Because they say "that's how cheater cheats".

When most of the cheaters are on Windows anyway.
