You don't even need SteamCMD ... Go to your Steam Library, at the top left, click "games" to open the drop down menu, and select "Tools" and "Software" in addition to "Games", then just scroll down, and install the DayZ Server software.
Search for Scalespeeder Gaming on Youtube for tutorials on how to edit the included ServerDZ.cfg and create a Start.bat batch file that will load all your mods when starting your server. (Once downloaded, you can copy the entire DayZ server to a portable drive if you want to transfer to another machine).
Edit: Using the Steam library method, Steam will keep your Server updated, with you only having to manually update the Mods themselves when the Client tells you they have updated there.
Hello, just want to let you know that I was able to figure it out and successfully launch a server using only SteamCMD. The reason why I chose SteamCMD over DayZServer was to get the experience and to me it seemed way faster than setting up Omega on W10 or Docker on Linux.
You don't seem to understand what I am telling you ... You do not need ANYTHING other than a PC with Windows .. No Omega Manager, no Docker, no other additional things to do.
.. But hey, you do you, not judging your choices.
