Cant place flagpole kit inside?

Trying to build a base in a house atm, everythings going well besides the flagpole kit.. we cant place it inside? I've read online they have to be placed on soil but whats stopping players from coming and removing it?

depends on the server. Some have build anywhere enabled and some don't. But should not matter if inside or not. Probably some obstacle blocking it.

If you build a base inside a building then someone will find it and break into your base regardless of your flagpole.

Hiding your base is a better idea....but it will still be found and raided.

stashing your loot is a better idea than that but it will still be discovered and raided.

Nothing is safe in this game and collecting loot will lead to being raided. Its meant to be like that.

The only items that are safe are those that you log off with.

Depends on the server. Some severs disable base damage and or do not allow base raiding. If hes playing on a straight up PVP server then yea I agree with you.

Sure Roy if its a modded server but if it is then OP need to speak to admin. If OP plays official then what I say make good sense.

It's more likely the Roof blocking you building the flag pole inside, if you are on Official. As for the "soil", to my knowledge, there is no "soil check" for Walls/Gates, Watchtowers, or Flagpoles .. Only Garden Plots and Buried Stashes.

As for the second part, Nothing is stopping anyone from taking your flag, if you are on Official, and your flag is outside .. Honestly, flag poles are just a beacon calling people to your other-wise hidden base .. If you are inside a house, don't advertise that you have a base there. As long as you interact with all your stuff once a day, you don't even need a flag .. Flags are only useful for when you don't play for 3 or more days, at which point, why even have a base, because you are getting raided if you are offline for 3 days straight.
