I pretty much loot a few buildings at the start and then immediately move inland. You’ll have much better luck doing this.
Listen for chickens, and search for fruit and mushrooms. Once you have a chicken, use the bones to make fish hooks, and you have unlimited food.
The spawns should have plenty of food but no weapons/clothing/valuuable items. Otherwise whats the point of even playing lol.
It's a survival game .. the point is to survive .. your lack of experience, is not a "game bug".
But, okay, you saw a cow .. Why didn't you kill it, cut it up, and cook it for food? A cow will feed you for a week.
Seems like everywhere I walked had a pistol lying on the ground though, and if you want to avoid PvP you're stuck looking at Hay Bales for 1-2 mushrooms, occasional zombie kill then sprint to next town.
Also, joining a 30+ server is asking for trouble as a solo. Most of the time it's a pair of duos, trios that are 1k+ hours and know how to play.
Oh, that's gonna kill me alright.
Thing is, it's all a loop.
I use them up as suppressors, then I run low, so I look for people to shoot silently and take their water bottles to use them as suppressors, then I run low, so I look for people to shoot silently and take their water bottles to use them as suppressors, then I run low, so I look for people to shoot silently and take their water bottles to use them as suppressors.
I'd argue the opposite. To me, Livonia is like DayZ Easy-mode. Food everywhere, warmer temps, plenty of places (farms/sheds) to get out of the rain ..
Your second comment is very telling though, as to why you are having issues early on .. stop Sprinting everywhere .. Unless you are directly under attack, you should never be sprinting in early-game. Jog, or crouch and sneak, saves your energy, and allows you to gain advantage over Infected when approaching towns.
