Best assault riffle in Dayz

Which assault riffle is the best one in dayz?
m4-a1 or ka-m? which one do you prefer

AK ammo is WAY more common and more guns use it, but the M4 is a better gun almost outright if you have ammo for it

I seem to aim better with the m4 myself. The ak ammo looks more damaging though. I find MANY times more bits for the ak then the m4. I even edited files to get normal nvgs to use with the combat scope while MANY ak nv scopes had already spawned... YMMV.

Full auto is overrated 🤣

Last times i got full auto'd at the first guy died to semi auto fire. The second guy only managed to hit me with the last few rounds of his weapon.....i didn't have a gun out at that time so no chance to retaliate.

Got all of mine at heli's... do not think they spawn as normal loot in Livonia at least.

I am going to try 1 shot after another now and see how few rounds it takes to destroy non black olga's .. I bet I wasted alot of ammo. Good luck.

sure, everyone has his preferences, the LAR is just the most effective one in terms of stopping power.

Yeah, LAR is no doubt the most powerful gun in the vanilla dayz for sure. Just have not found it more than once in my whole dayz career LOL :D So that is one reason i like AK more... AK can be found a lot easier than LAR.

VSS hits harder than the LAR. Especially when you put the only AP ammo in the game in it. Only good close up though, it has terrible accuracy.Integral suppressor vs none for the LAR. Depends on what you're doing. More optics options for VSS too...

It doesn't have terrible accuracy.
Ballistics is just totally different from what a player is used to. If you try to hit a moving target at 400m you have the wrong gun.
