buy dayz standalone or arma 3 and dayz mod for arma 3 ?

since arma 3 is very cheap now , its cheaper than dayz itself and the dayz mod is free

but my question is , is there any difference between dayz standalone or arma 3 dayz mod ? like the servers and everything is the same ? if yes then why arma 3 is cheaper !!!


also is this game good ? does it worth it to buy it ? is it fun ?

There is no such thing as Dayz mod for arma 3. Only a dayz mod for arma 2. There are mods for arma 3 that are inspired by Dayz but in reality they have very little to do with what Dayz the standalone is trying to be.

Dayz Standalone and Arma 3 are both worth buying.

difference between buying arma 2 and download dayz mod for it ,and buying dayz itself ?

well right now i can see dayz mod in steam and i can install it also ? what should i do ?

Yes, or it would say that this mod is no longer active. Besides i did a quick internet search and it does seem that people still play it.

I believe as far as I know you need both Arma 2 and Operation Arrowhead to get the DayZ Mod.
However of own experience I have yet to see how to enjoy the mod.

I like the concept of not starting with anything other then just a rag, a flare and some clothes. In the mod, you get a gun as well and as far as I know, a backpack. I don't like that concept. I enjoyed the Standalone for about 1050 hours by now as far as I know, yet the mod only for 2-3 hours. I don't know. I don't think the mod gives the same feel of fear and paranoia other then the Standalone. But that's my opinion though

They are completly different and seperate games they dont share any servers or anything. You also need Arma 2 and Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead to play the game Arma 2 combined arms is both of those i think.

But you are beter of just buying either Arma 3 or Dayz standalone. Its much easier to get into and offers a lot more.

They are different. Watch some gameplay. Personally I'd only reccomend the mod if you don't have enough patience to deal with the lag and bugs in the Standalone.

Gotta consider the massive range of weapons and vehicles in ArmA 2 though, ArmA 3 really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ out with that and DayZ SA isn't quite there yet. That's one thing I liked more about ArmA 2 then ArmA 3 or DayZ.

Arma 2 only had so many weapons compared to 3 because it was at its end of life stage. All dlc and expansions had come out and nothing new was happening. Arma 3 hasnt had any expansions yet and only a few relativly small DLC releases. They will have more weapons in the future.
