On community servers, with modded guns you can shoot over 1000m
And, not really about shooting skill, more about chance.. for me anyway.
I consider myself a fairly ordinary player. Nothing special.

They must look like a tiny little ant at 1000 mtrs away!
Its the patience for me that's hard, this was actually my longest and best k/d character. He had 6 kills and was alive for 30 hours playtime. no base just nomading, i tried several locations and kept falling short of 300 mtrs. There were a few lucky ones who escaped with an inch of their lives. In the end i died to my own greed and lack of patience.

Modded scopes. You can see them with your eyes but... It IS a long way.
My best in 2k hrs was, according to the rangefinder and my spotter
1250m shooting down off a peak. TBH i am pretty Av, there are plenty better..
I know, they kill me all the time.
6 from 30 is actually not bad, and, it's "stupid" that kills me the most
