Admins spawn JUG bears in base.

So I have been playing on a "popular" server as a friend likes it there.

Anyhow this AM the Admins spawned in Jug bears to many players bases. Firebear or Lavabear or some such 1hit KOS type of juggernaut creature. 20min before server restart.

Wipe us both in 1 hit. In our base. Of course don't make it back to base before restart so now no keys to open the vehicle so it's now a brick.

We ask WTF and these are the responses:

"Git gud."
"That's DayZ get used to it."
"Happens all the time."

I'm like, OK creating content is one thing, but spawning in a JUG bear on players who are newish that don't have the 338/408/50 weapons and JUG armor yet...wtf.

I guess it keeps it spicy.

DayZ is such a strange place nowadays.

Yeah they claim it's "an event" oh well. Time to find another server yet again....I'm beginning to think just call it a day on DayZ as all the POPULATED servers are just so bad.

Was it the bear mountain server I’ve been on that one before and got in trouble for stealing vehicle parts lol

Server admins can be as bad as cheaters

That's way worse than my "bad admin" story ..

Mine just has a Superiority Complex, and refuses to have a reasonable discussion on why they need to restart the server more than every 12 hours (now up to 78 mods, and adding more weekly) .. Oh, and they also refuse to hear that their latest "favorite mod" has a major conflict, causing NVGs to not work, because the new mod messes with the lighting Config, while also having 3 other mods for "lighting" .. but hey, "this isn't their first server, they KNOW what they're doing" and they quoted their resume to prove it, while gas-lighting that I got upset when they refused to hear a solution to a problem.

Yeah i met those "bears" on a server i tried last night.
Man they are something. Fortunately by the time i met
them i had an M4 and SPAS shotgun so i was able to
beat them... Bearly... Ha ha ha..
They ARE fearsome though.

Hey I like cocaine bears, special infected, etc. But on a PVE/PVP server environment, generally you know areas to find that kind of action.

When I was running my PVE/PVP server, we had areas that special infected/animals spawned. Most were in PVP danger zones. Some, like the infected kids and infected clowns were in things like Luna Parks, schools, etc. so you "could" run into specials on your first excursion into a said zone, but they were not JUG so you had a chance. Things like aircraft crashes, airdrops, special areas (area 51 for example) yeah, expect super hard bosses, etc. Perhaps expecting other owner/admins to understand game balance and fairness is too much to ask.

Having them spawned IN YOUR BASE by an admin, is, well, a good way to let some players know they are not welcome IMO.

I had been beginning to think although public, it's basically an admins/friends/bambi-hunt server. The 4 month grind-timeline to afford a heli should have been warning enough. I think I'm right about that now. I won't be going back. Oh well, was a fun server while it lasted.

i have my own server and see alot of these badmin posts,my server always empty id be glad if someone joined and just played in it never would do something like this yet everyone joins these badmin servers lol

Have you tried posting in the Looking For Group section, and advertise your server?

Agree. I see allot of posts about some pretty cool servers set up, but no one ever links them. Heck a few weeks ago in a discussion someone was pretty much detailing a PVE/PVP server, and another with a survival-type right up my alley, but complain that no one plays there, but again...no link.

I even send friend requests for at least half-dozen posts and jsut get ghosted. Weird. When I was running servers I was totally psyched when folks joined.
