It really sucks, i have thousands of hours in this damned game but on one server a long time ago i got a ban, me and several people i played with were booted for hacking. Never before or since have i ever been accused of hacking ever sine version 0.60!!! One person in our group mightve been, but if he was he kept it a secret. Now a few servers ive tried playing on just auto ban me and of course they will not believe anything i say.

The server that banned us, they didnt even use vpn admin tools or had any evidence or proof to backup their claim of this, and I tried so hard to defend myself but they gave me the "thats what cheaters would say" routine. I pointed out my terrible K/D ratio, how i had hundreds and hundreds of hours on that server with no problems, how i myself had begged them repeatedly to use vpn admin tools to catch people who cheated lol.

I talked to one friend who was a backdoor to the admin and come to find out they didnt even think i was hacking, but they thought we knew someone else was and benefitted from it and enabled it.


And I know ill get plenty of "youre a hacker" comments, i get it. but it sucks how one server ban can result in bans from unrelated servers over a year later.
Thats so dirty. How can so many servers blindly trust a ban from one other server??

Even if you dont believe me, how easy would it be for a salty admin to abuse their privileges as admin and ban someone, then that results in bans for other servers? There is literally no way to defend myself. The thousands of hours I have with no issues counts for nothing.

This servers ban was over a year ago. This is absurd. So its like now this entire game is ruined because the servers i want to play on have me banned.

The best part is, the server that banned me is dead now. Went from being one of the best vanilla servers to being dead in a short time. I wonder why.

It would be VERY easy for an admin to do that.
As a former admin/owner i can say most decent admins WOULD kick the
whole group just to be sure. Personally i answer your query but,
they are not obliged to do so. Server owners literally OWN the server
we can do anything we like. no ones going to take it off us or "ban" us
from having one.
At the end of the day decent admins have a responsibility to their community
to deal with cheating or disruptive players. The "list" helps to stop them migrating
to other servers at will. Is the system perfect? No, but it is the best that can be
done right now.
There are 2 thing to learn from this.
1: Checking a box on steam does no make someone an ACTUAL friend...
2: Choose your teamates wisely

Oh and being polite and respectful while dealing with admins always helps.
So many go straight to the "salty rant".

I was definitely polite. I joined the Northmen server, played for about 20 min, then suddenly got banned for "ban evading". I quickly looked up the discord server and made a ticket asking why i got a ban evasion when id never played on the server.

Someone named farran or something said: ban evasion means you were banned and youre not supposed to be on the server.
I explained that i understood the definition, but i had never played on this server before so would like to know when i was banned if i was.

He said "you tell me"

I said Idk thats why im making a ticket, can you look it up and help me out?

he said i was banned for cheating before and those bans follow me to every server.


this is when i knew i wouldnt get anywhere, i tried explaining quickly that i didnt cheat, i was never even told exactly what i did, said there was never any evidence, said i played for many many hours and only once had this problem on one server....

so its irritating because there is nothing to even suggest i cheated. ever. I dont even know how to cheat. Ive had the game since 2016, if i was a cheater id imagine id have lots more accusations of cheating but only from one server? over a year ago, one time. and they didnt ever provide any actual evidence. but this was able to lead to me being barred from a couple other servers now.

But as you say, thats their right to do so. just really sucks for me. Now i wish i did cheat honestly.
I dont even see many servers id like to play on anymore anyway. the official servers are kinda mid pop. community servers are all overly modded (for me), and the few that arent either wont let me on now, or they fake their player pop.

guess ill just find a different game. i got several thousand hours out of dayz so i guess thats good.

Yeah, if you are genuine then that really sucks. To be in that small %
of players that are unfairly banned they way you say you were.
I have played DayZ for a long time, i took my time and learned
to play on official servers. I took my losses on the chin and learned
from them. After a few thousand hours of learning i can be confident
about winning most encounters, usually without being seen or heard..
This means i get accused of cheating ALL the freakin time..
Fortunately i have never been banned by any admins on the community
servers i play on but i have been "investigated" by a few after some
rather wild and salty rants in chat...
So, i know exactly what you lost and have an insight to how you must feel.
Like i said before, personally, i would have checked the logs then
had a chat to you before taking any action.

The game is cheap on sale. Just start up a new Steam account and buy the game again.

you have to accept that you're at the mercy of (arbitrary) admins when playing on modded servers.

Everything about your original post, and subsequent replies SCREAMS that you used cheats, and KNOW you used cheats .. You very carefully worded your Statement to avoid out-right admitting your "crime", while leaving enough room to deny you your denial.

Why is this so odd and irritating to you, to have to live with the consequences of your own actions?
- If you committed a crime in Mannheim, do you think you would not also be a criminal in Berlin?

sounds like youre just trying to be a prick tbh. his post sounds like someone that is irritated theyre not able to play a game they like. i doubt you posses any kind of education or knowledge to be able to determine someones guilt or innocence from a post, clown. does it not make sense that if someone were wrongfully banned they would be irritated about it and rant? and the quote you used, is that supposed to be the "SCREAMS" of evidence? OP specifically said the server they played on didnt even have proof to provide when he asked, and all these bans are a result of someones accusation without any evidence. admin abuse on dayz is unreal dude. you think dayz admin arent human, that they are beyond petty emotion and mistakes? the entire point seems to be that one ban can lead to bans on completely unrelated servers, without evidence, and everyone will just treat them like you are right now if they try explaining themselves.
OP, screw this guy. i was kicked from a favorite server for some BS a while back, still makes me mad when i think about it tbh. and when i tried to appeal it, denied and was treated like crap too.

They don't really have any evidence. They're doing just for the sake of being an "admin" just toxic little kids that get the biggest power trip because they have a server.
Like you haven't even got a VAC on your account.

You'll note their use of terms like "never before or since was I accused of using hacks" ..and Not the affirmative "I have never used hacks" ..

Trust me when I tell you, my education is beyond your comprehension.

It's pretty simple, follow the server rules, and you won't have a problem. If you followed the server rules, and still managed to "get on the wrong side of an admin", perhaps you complain too much .. I get the feeling it's the later. Some people just can't help being negative and toxic while blaming everyone else for their problems.

You played with a cheater.... and you knew it.

End of the story.

You can not tell me you dont realize that this one guy in the group is for some reason always the one calling out that he spotted a enemy.

i once befriended a group that build next to us.
a third group raided us and we called them for help. They joined our discord and within 5 minutes i could already tell that this one guy was clearly cheating.

He spotted people wayyyyy before anyone else. Everytime someone made a call.... it was ALWAYS him calling it first..... "guy to the left in the pine tree" , " one is hiding behind that shed, i saw him run there". " there might be a sniper on the hill, i think i saw something"......

and he did it without fail. He spotted everyone and we managed to defeat the attackers with ease, altho they were twice as much peopel as we were.

i then reported this guy to the admins because i had this suspicion.... and who would have thought.... he was cheating.

He and his whole group got banned 2 hours later. That was roughly a year ago....


you can NOT tell me, that you played with your group for longer than a day and didnt have any suspicions about this one guy......




Might sound harsh.... but its your own fault.
