Navigating by STARS in DAYZ
My beautiful lady just noticed that the Big Dipper, Also known as The Plough, is visible in the night sky in DAYZ, and whats even more awesome is you can actually navigate and find North from it!. Now im not very good at Astrology but if anyone is are the other big star systems there?

Just cool to know you can navigate by the stars at night without a compass :)
Very Cool DayZ..

Little dipper is there also but real small about a quarter to the right of big dipper (I still think it almost seems like a reflection of the big one far away just like in RL

Yes? This is also the case in Arma 3.

In Arma 2, even tides are correct and day/night start times based on season/time of year as used in the editor. Constellations have all always been correct. Find Polaris for North, join the two horns of a crescent moon into a line to find South. Always works in Northern Hemisphere.
