What is the rarest item in the game?

75rd AK Drum Mags? Rare, but I've seen a good 15 of them spawn (not liberated from other Chernarus residents).

MP5 Mags? Again, they're certainly rare, but I've probablt seen 10-12 (all on top of police cars).

AK Folding Buttstock? I've looted a lot of barracks. I've seen 2.

Longhorn? I have found 1 (top floor of small office building).

That seems like an odd list. I hope once we get further along, the balane shifts to making AKs, M4s, MP5s (and any other automatic or high-capacity semi-autos) very rare. Teh most exciting gunfight I ever had was against a guy with a Magnum - I had a Blaze. No spray and pray there, but lots of hunting and stalking.

Haha! I had it and thought, "well I guess I could is kinda like a monocular...." 10min later, "hey dude! Take this gun I don't want it!"

Jumped on a fresh server earlier to find my character reset. Over the two to three hours of the server, I found a high capacity vest, a Atlas bi(tri?)pod, an AKM, a drum mag, an engraved 1911, and no axe or can opener. I went through the central airfield and at least 6-7 towns in the area. Of course, when the server reset, I found the game had decided it wanted me to use my old character it couldn't previously find, and so I lost the AKM and everything. <_<

I have to agree that the rarest is always what you want most. I didn't want the AKM. I wanted a mozen, as I'm a coward sniper, and I consider an axe to be one of the first things you want. For food, anti zombie work, and fixing broken limbs. I doubt there's a more essential item in the game, IMO. Yet I just couldn't find one.

It's one of those "Pointless guns".

A, use only if there isn't anything better, kind of gun.

I guess that it *could* be a good weapon for mid range sniping, IF, you took it with an AKM, or something like that, but why take that when, if your a sniper, you could go for the ultimate load out at the minute, which is the Mosin and the MP5.

I mean, if you have an AK-101 after the update, or an AKM etc... That also kind of makes the MP5 redundant. Having said that, I don't know if I would take an FNX .45 over a MP5 again, as a side arm. The single biggest problem with the MP5 is the ammount of storage slots that it uses, but it is a great weapon to keep inside a High Capacity Vest, until the HCV get's ruined that is.

I find can openers frequently and give several away. They are easy to miss though. I have found weapons and fish hooks ok and some MP5/AK magazines but not that frequently. Interestingly, I found six apples when searching an orchard after spawning in a small hamlet. It was a full server and so everything it else had been looted. The apples kept me alive.

Can opener? Depending...if you don't have one, you can't find one, if you have one already, you will find them all over the place...same with mags, you surely are not going to find the one for the pistol/rifle you have with you ;-)

Those three-story apartments, with the stairs in the small hall that are often caged shut, have kitchens on the bottom floor - can openers breed in those kitchens.

Why don't you actually try to play the game ... you are run around for WEEKS no jokes WEEEEEKKKKSSSSS and not see any crashed helicopters and when you do, its all pistols and some magazines ... seriously you guys ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up the only fun we could have in the game and that was using cool guns .... now we cant even load 9mm pistols ... ♥♥♥♥ off seriously admit you fuct up, dont even have to apologize just next wednesday tweak the gun spawns so we dont run around the map for 20 hours before we find a gun worth using.
