Most Rare Items - THIS IS A VERY OLD THREAD

What is the rarest item in the game?

75rd AK Drum Mags? Rare, but I've seen a good 15 of them spawn (not liberated from other Chernarus residents).

MP5 Mags? Again, they're certainly rare, but I've probablt seen 10-12 (all on top of police cars).

AK Folding Buttstock? I've looted a lot of barracks. I've seen 2.

Longhorn? I have found 1 (top floor of small office building).

That seems like an odd list. I hope once we get further along, the balane shifts to making AKs, M4s, MP5s (and any other automatic or high-capacity semi-autos) very rare. Teh most exciting gunfight I ever had was against a guy with a Magnum - I had a Blaze. No spray and pray there, but lots of hunting and stalking.

for me fishing hooks are hard to come by and when i do find one usually death is right around the corner i really think there cursed

The most rare for me is usually what ever item I want there and then.
The loot tables are trolling us for sure.

Nothing is particularly rare as the loot tables are still currently very limited so everything appears quite frequently.

I'd probably say fishing hooks are some of the rarest (on stable).

Can opener for sure. Just starved to death yesterday. Not a single item to open the cans. Apples/berries don't help.

AK Folding Buttstocks are so common that if I melted the number I've found down, I honestly believe i could fill an olympic swiming pool.
I've never found a Longhorn.
2 MP5 magazines, and about 10 75 round drum magazines, from off the floor etc and NOT off bodies.

Of course. It IS alpha, and everything is subject to change.
Keep in mind this project is not in any way about "gunfights" and is not a PVP game. Don't expect to be able to gun down players very often when the project is completed. You'll be lucky if you get a couple bullets, and by then it's best to keep them for other threats.

You're a can opener God then. For some reason it takes me a long long long time to find one. I admit, I've always found one but it's not the easiest item on my typical list of "first things I need to find".

Apples and berries... Hard to find... I mean actually gather something from the trees/bushes. Yesterday I spawned at a very odd location... small villages and that's all... nothing useful in them... well... some food and drink, you can't open the food with hammer or crowbar, etc... Also sometimes the teleporting and invisible zombies tend to kill me, so yeah...
