Burning Bonfire things?
What are they, and why? I hadn't played DayZ for a while. Stumbled across one and sat there in the trees for about half an hour with my Mosin primed, thinking someone or some players had to be around. But then I finally gave up and stumbled upon on another one some time later, so I'm guessing they're not player made.

It's kind of like a chopper crash for harry potter stuff. IDK. I guess you could use it to keep warm if needed. The only loot I have found lying around them is witches hats, some kind of odd clothing and a cauldron. I go around them when I see them.

it's a bonfire. tied to an ingame event.

or on private servers, admins can place them anywhere for any reason they want.

I would see them on official servers around halloween but now they seem to be in chenarus all the time.

So they're not there for any particular reason? I noticed a bunch of witches around the second one I came across. Took them all out, but all they dropped was a bit of food.
