Dayz 2023 worth

I want to know , is this game still worth playing at this time September 2023 . I played rust I like it but , rust community is toxic . Can I play Dayz solo ? Need suggestions. Should I buy this game or not guys ?? Help

well, DayZ community is infamous, too.
solo play is perfectly fine, you just have to take a more stealthy approach.
if you're a newbie, playing with friends might be helpful, though, especially if you want to do time-consuming stuff like base building.
the game can be quite rewarding but will also test your frustation tolerance more than once.
patience is the key.

it can be quite a time sink and in terms of money to playtime ratio it is for sure.
everything else is personal preference...
the game is quite old but it gets regular updates, I'd suggest to wait for the next sale.

DayZ is just if not more toxic then Rust. Get it on sale for sure, like under $10 if you can.

Yes it is worth it. It´s a fantastic game.

The community tends to be the shoot first, ask questions later type so keep that in mind but if you don´t mind playing stealthy or maybe playing on a pve server then you can have a lot of fun.

The survival mechanics, the realistic looking gameworld, the audiodesign and the overall attention to detail in this game are stunning. I have never before seen such a realistic gameworld (chernarus) in any other game. It´s incredible.

You can find a server that best fits what you want. I find PvP broken on this game so I play on a PvE server with ALOT of extra monsters, gear, base building mechanics, AI and much more. Its tough to survive but its nice to know the people there will help you. If I grind for days, the last thing I want is to log in to a sacked camp with all my hours of looting gone. I like to just explore n loot and the added monsters brings alot of tension.. especially the giant spiders lol.

Its hardcore survival, There is no hand holding , The first hundred hours will either make you are break you.

nah, it just differs a bit from the standard FPS but imo it's just a matter of getting used to.

yeah, it has cheaters as every other online game.
the chances to run into a cheater are higher on official servers because they aren't moderated but community servers usually have admins.
the real issue with cheaters in this game is that the grief is deep when killed by one because you lose everything and it may take quite some time to achieve that again while in CoD or so you just start over with no big loss.
