Manhunt servers

so im new to the game, and most nights i can spend upwards of 2 hours trying to find a decent server to join, to always land on manhunts' "chernarus vanilla 3pp"

what can i do to avoid this?

ive clicked on, dayone server, puts me on manhunt
zero-manhunt
random server in the server list.... manhunt

Make sure your filters are all cleared in the search part of the launcher.

i dunno whats goings on bro, if its cleared or not, i could be searching for lisa ann's greatest adventures and ill still land in manhunts servers, unless i go official i can join normally. nothing against manhunt but it seems a bit obnoxious how many servers seems to land me there

dude i keep connecting to manhunt too,, worst part is, i spent hours on this server didnt hear a single shot, no dead zombie, nothing whatsoever. running around berezino, cherno... not a sign of life literally for hours. I finally googled "can servers fake their player pop" and apparently lots of servers fake their player pop.

Let me guess...you connected to a Russian Manhunt server and now are wondering why your DayZ account is hacked.

Close Steam. Delete all DayZ folders/files from your Windows user directory. Run the verify files from Steam Library for DayZ. When prompted delete everything. Close and re-launch Steam.

If you have the same issue, uninstall/unsubscribe from ALL MODS. Uninstall DayZ, and again delete all DayZ files/folders from your Windows user directory. Reinstall and never connect to a Russian Manhunt server.

I never actually connected to it intentionally.. I searched for "vanilla" servers, there was one named something like vanilla +chernarus 3pp.. i connected and then noticed there was no server with that name in my recent servers list.. the most recent server i had played on was called manhunt. so they somehow get to list servers with different names which route you to a different server.. and they still cant manage to get any players.

this has stopped me playing com servers tbh, i play official now

I am on this server as well, not really sure how I got there but I cant seem to change it. I've just kept going as its quite populated.

But, don't you get hacked, killed and generally F*^ked up
by cheats every 30 seconds on "Officials" like so many claim?
