Leaning Keybinds

I have lean set to mouse buttons, is it possible to have clean set to A/D and mouse buttons having 2 sets?

Lean-spamming is meh. I believe it was also nerfed a patch or 2 ago.

no not spamming, i mean its quite awkward to lean while moving, so i have it on my mouse, but its also quite annoying trying to line up shots while leaning with the mouse, so having lean on keyboard and mouse for added manoeuvrability is what im asking if possible?

nvm i figured out how to do it

i have lean on my mouse and keyboard. this is how you do it for anyone wondering.
Edit the file in >Documents>dayz>preset_user.XML and paste the following commands

<btn name="mB4" />
<btn name="kA" />
</input>
<input name="UALeanRight">
<btn name="mB5" />
<btn name="kD" />

i have this exact same problem. holding 'e' while strafing right feels super awkward. i think the thumb mouse buttons are perfect for leaning.

I have a good and simple solution for your problems, altho it might not be the solution you guys were looking for.

Me and basicly anyone i play with, we inverted the leaning buttons. Q = lean right E = lean left.

It makes leaning left and walking left together much more manageable.
Takes a few minutes to get used to it, but its worth it imo. ^_^

Give it a shot!

(Thumbbuttons are for zooming while running/holding your breath and for Voip. Anything else is a crime :D )

That’s actually an interesting idea. If you’re leaning right you’re not gonna be strafing left. I’ll definitely experiment with that, thanks.

As above, works for me once you get used to it.
