Performance on AMD Graphics
I want to buy rx 6800 xt or rx 6800, I know it's a dayz and amd, so I google for issues before I buy the card and of course I found some problems. So my question to those who have rx 6xxx cards. Did you have any performance problems before or do you have performance problems know? Or if you have no issue, I also want to know it. I'm just trying to figure out if there's any chance the game run well on these cards or it's something you 100% dealing with after buying rx 6xxx card. Now I'm playing on gtx 1660 in 1080p and I have no issues at all, my fps is like ~120 and sometimes drops to ~90 in forest (I might be wrong with my fps but game feels very smooth) . It will be sad if I switch to significantly better gpu and get worse performance.

P. S. I'm not a native speaker, so i tried my best to write this without translater

DayZ is really CPU heavy, so even if you have a fat card, if you got an older/entry level CPU/MB it ain't gonna matter what GPU you got.

What CPU and PCIE slot do you have? 4.0 x16?

Also 120fps is good if you are running max graphics, but I doubt it. Depends on what you wnat as far as graphics goes. All Ultra? Going to need a 4.0 x16 PCIE slat and a moddern CPU.

Just recently upgraded to a rx 6650 xt 8 gig and get a solid 60 fps with V sync enabled at ultra settings. No frame drops. I am running I5 8th gen cpu and an older PCI 3.0 slot.
I am at 1080p. I have been happy with this card.

I don't have a 6xxx series gpu, but i switched from a RTX 3080 to an RX 7900 XTX and got better performance. I'm also playing at 5120x1440 so not really comparable to 1080p, which should be multiple times faster. Either way moving to a slightly faster AMD gpu was not a downgrade for me, at least.

I have old PCs in my house (that my kids use) that run DayZ just fine. I'm talking 1060s, 2060s, and old AMD FX CPUs.

Anything newer than that stuff will have no issue running DayZ.

Anyone having problems with modern hardware is a configuration issue or lack of PC expertise. The hardware and game are fine.

Did you try to play without v sync, I wounder how much fps your pc will get. I'm playing on mixed settings, game looks close to max, but fps on full max settings drops in forest to ~60 sometimes but difference in graphics hard to see. rx 6650 xt is way better card then my 1660, so I think you could get my performance or even more but on full ultra. I'm using 3700x on b450, so my pcie is 3.0 too, but i can update bios and enable SAM (it works only with amd cpu + amd gpu) I don't know if it will work fine in dayz.

Dont worry! you can get this game to run on a potato.
If you are really really really struggling to maintain good fps, you can just manually adjust your "Drawdistance" to 1200 meters, and "Object render distance" to 1100 meters.
This doesnt hinder your gameplay at all, as playermodels dont even render beyond 1000 meters.
It will be foggy.... but you can squeeze out good fps out of basicly any pc.

I bought my old computer when i was 13 years old (i am 27 now) and i manage to get 70+ Fps in big citys and around 100 everywhere else.
Aslong as you have a CPU and GPU that is from this century, you wont have any problems.
IF you are really struggling to get good fps, hit me up. There is like a million tricks you can do to boost your fps, while still maintaining 100% effectivness when it comes to pvp.

Like i said... i played this game for a full decade with a p00py AMD fx8350 CPU and a GTX970..... And i am a complete tryhard when it comes to pvp and such.... If i would die to a lag just a single time, i would have thrown my pc against the wall.

the only thing you NEED is a SSD. This game runs like donkeyass when you try to play it from a HDD.

Without V sync enabled my frame rate is much higher but then I have a high pitch whine in my head phones. I personally cannot tell the difference between 60 or 144 FPS anyway. I used to play this game on an old Dell with a slow dual core CPU and got frames of 10-20 and still enjoyed the game. :)
