High Ping On All Servers

Anyone else having trouble joining any server because of high ping? Seems like every server have high ping ever since the 1.22 update.

I been noticed some strange behavior this past week, High pings and or my regular servers not showing up right away. I need to go back and forth between recent , community and official tab to get them to show up and remove from favorites.

Yeah, me and all my friends have this issue.
We can join, looks like good ping like 40-50ms, then suddenly some of us get kicked for having above 300ms

i've been noticing lag/high ping and getting kicked due to "unstable connection" quite a bit lately. it's definitely not my internet connection (high end 1gig/1gig fiber). normally my ping is in the <40 range

Except, DayZ has not been updated to v1.22 yet ..

try running trace routes to Bohemia's servers.

Also, is it community servers too? They're all hosted in totally different areas which would indicate it's your connection, not the servers'.

I have been noticing that many servers that are using OVH hosting have the default DDOS protections configured, and OVH appears to have this service in the EU (it is an EU hosting company). So by default, even if the server is based in say Oregon, it is possible that OVH in the US is sending packets to EU then back again, causing mega latency.
I have pingplotted my routes to a number of DayZ Communitys ervers that are using OVH, and all of them route thru EU for DDOS. Kinda blows, but perhaps OVH has options for their US customers.

Try using Open Visual Traceroute to check whats happening with your ping to a specific server. It's free and super easy to understand.

It is NOT an issue with DayZ as far as I know, as I get great pings to servers local-sh to my geo location. Just not the OVH hosted servers.

Try the windows ping command on the same server and see if the ping is also high there. If this is the case then find a better server. Otherwise, something is wrong with your internet connection.
