Question about flag poles

So building a base, need to get all the stone and logs. I can't do it all in one sitting so I'm curious how long will my unfinished flag pole stay without despawning? Is it on server reset or dissapears after a few hours? (I mean i hope not anyways)

I recommend players gather ALL materials for the flagpole before placing it on our server. But then again, there has been some unfinished poles up for days.

Not sure how vanilla does it actually.

not sure how long exactly it will stay like this, but mine was in unfinished state for over 5 days and nothing happened.
