can landmines be set when you find them spawned?

My wife and I are playing on a LAN server i set up, so no one else on the server, I'm in Tisy and i see a landmine, i go to pick it up, and screen goes to "you are dead", no sound, full blood, and health, was it a bug? or did the landmine spawn set? i think it was a bug, because I got no indication of an explosion,

after running my own server for over 400 hrs i have never had this happen.
Not saying it can't, but, i have never seen it or had such an event reported.

yes, no animation, no sound, just me falling over quick, and right to the dead screen, i wasn't even interaction with the landmine, i was just near it in a tent, sucks because it took me two days irl to get to Tisy, best run I've had in a while and this happens

last time I think or what not I hit one it showed this explosion when I walked in the room then went to you are dead screen. If I was you and that happen just stay away best bet.

I had this same thing happen on my Namalsk LAN server. It also appears that ALL bear traps are spawning as deployed. I was in the long barns in Jalavisko last night and there were multiple deployed bear traps in each barn.

I also got blown up by a mine at Refugee2 that neither me or my son planted and were are the only people on the server as it is password protected. I'm wondering if it is a bug casued by one of the mods I'm running. Never seen this behavior before, weird. Although... I kind of wish it was something you could toggle in the config files. Might make a private LAN server more interesting.

i run an online server and after a fresh wipe i have seen traps of all kinds spawning set.. even Plastic Explosives.. that was with no mods installed yet... i believe after this initial loot spawn of the new/fresh servers loot spawn they will come through as able to be collected.. I have seen this before too in the past couple years.. i do not know why but i can confirm it is not just yourselves..

When I was an admin with item ESP, I would recall often seeing random items (e.g. protective cases & first aid kits), as well as bear traps spawning inside random trees. Sometimes they've been set.

Hmm. I've necer seen one spawn set on my server, and also I step on my own ALL THE TIME around my base lol. If I die right away, the screen jsut goes black. I do not think there is any "animation" per say, just a black screen and a very quick expolicive-like sound. Certainly no flash or explosion.

When i played 7dtd it was my MOST COMMON way of being killed...
By my own traps, spikes and molotov's...
