Still recommend you have a mic set up, even if you're not teaming up with people.
General rule is no mic=no life for most players you bump into. If you don't talk they just gun you down...if you do talk you might get some tips, trade for things you need or at least convince them you're not worth wasting ammo on.
Uhm so there are no servers or anything where i can just play completely alone, like to explore the world or anything?
Well, that's sad.
Edit: there are definitely low populated servers you can easily hop onto those and play
*There are 1000's of servers both official and community, not hard to find an empty one to run around in.
*If you got money to spend you can also rent and manage your own server which you could password protect.
*There's a mod that lets you launch the game as a single player session (so you can explore freely, spawn enemies, practice with vehicles and weapons etc.)...all your progress is wiped when you close the game though.
The benefit of DayZ is the modding and community servers, you can pretty much find a server that does what you want. There are modded maps that have way more to explore than the official maps, servers that are just deathmatches with instant respawns, roleplay servers that are just pve so all you do is explore, base build and trade.
Might be worth a search around youtube to see what they're like.
Oh, that's amazing! Thank you!
Gave you guys some awards.
Strange because I never have that happen. Maybe its the server you are on?
Theres plenty of very popular servers that limit group size to 3 players or 5 players though.
