Glow plug's?

Do the Hummers ever spawn with glow plugs attached or will I need to hunt them down in the loose loot?

I haven't found a Humvee yet but I stumbled across a glowplug. By stumble I mean it looks like a featureless chopstick sized dark line. If my player focus hadn't passed over it I wouldn't have thought of it as anything other than a visual artifact.

I have found a half dozen Humvee's or so on my private server but they have never had a glow pug in them. I hope I can just hit the Hummer spawns and get a glow pug from one of them. Glow plugs have always been one of the hardest things to find in the normal loot tables.

Its a server config thing. Depends on what the admin has configured.

you say 'on my private server'.

is it actually 'yours', or just one you play on?

The default chance for a glowplug to spawn with the humvee, is 30%. This can be configured/changed.

So there is a chance it can happen. Now that I know how I may give that a better chance.

I searched for hours for a glow plug. Finally I said F'it and modified the cfg file as described above. I wiped the server and logged back in. I started searching for food an clothing and damn if I didn't trip on a pristine glow plug.
