I have a tactical helmet in my backpack which shows drenched, days after getting wet.
Dude, i have 3 times more hrs into Dayz (not counting the original Mod and its derivatives; eg. Origins) so what are you trying to tell me?
That wold be alot easier if there weren't actual spawn points which required you do swim to the mainland, if there wasn't rain to soak you, and if there wasn't an island with a prison and decent loot staring at me off the coast.

yes please everyone put all important stuff in fire slots while fire is lit it will make everything water proof .
