The SVD sniper rifle: Reality or just a myth

Hey guys.I have bought this game like 1 month ago and I always wanted to have this weapon (childhood memories).Now...I looked everywhere for it.Be it long barracks,double barracks,officer's building,military tents,I don't seem to find it.I have always found a TON of mags for the SVD rifle in the places mentioned above...but I have never found or even seen this weapon in game. I had done horrible things while searching for this weapon...like server hopping on 100 different servers??? and trying to loot cycle for hours! and despite my efforts,no luck finding it.I'm always finding the Mosin but that's not what I want.I have checked every military place in this game on dozens of servers,before and after resets.Also checked some heli crashes but I didn't found any weapon there.My only findings were an UMP-45 in a tisy 4-door barracks and a FAL rifle in the Tisy double military barracks.
May I get some guidance? xD I have also tried following the saying "Don't look for an SVD and then you'll find it".Also,I am horrible at PvP but still,I want this weapon very much :/ I am tired of finding dozens of AK's and just this..
What would be the best solution to my problem? :D Please don't say buy gear online or get better at PvP.That's all I have to share guys.Cheers.

They spawn under the bunks in barracks. You can walk right past them sometimes.

I found one in nwaf barracks and I been there like 10 times max on .60

I haven't had a single weapon drop from a heli-crash the last couple of weeks. They must have shifted the spawn points, or something to do with the loot-economy.

Weapons do not spawn at helicopter crash sites in this verison. Anyone saying so either found a weapon that was left there by another player or lying.
