How do you play Dayz on Macbook Pro?

So I bought Dayz two years ago and I play it on a windows computer but it's not a gaming computer so I play on low quality graphics and I still lag. Anyway recenlty I got a new Macbook pro and I wanted to know how I could play Dayz on it without buying other software to play it. All links I found on youtube are broken to do it and I wanted to see if someone could give me a step by step instruction of how to do it. Thanks!

You cannot. DayZ is not designed with Mac in mind, you'd have to use Bootcamp or similar to run Windows first.

You'll still be playing low graphics coz its a macbook and a vm.

Your mac should already have a program called Bootcamp Assistant, look for it in your applications folder. Use a combination of these websites https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT201468 and https://support.microsoft.com/en-ca/kb/2647609. You will need a copy of a Windows 7 or higher OS disc, as well as a USB I believe, in order to install it onto your computer. Be sure to follow the steps very carefully, as one minor mistake may mean having to restart the process over again. Once you have successfully installed windows you can download steam and DayZ and possibly have to make some last minute updates to certain drivers etc. in order to get it going but it is definitely possible. I currently play on a macbook pro from mid 2012, that being said my main point is merely that it is possible, when it comes time for me to upgrade I'll definitely be going with a PC.

It isn't a VM. Bootcamp allows a Mac to boot into Windows natively. Bootcamp simply adds drivers for apple hardware (trackpad, mouse, etc.) for Windows.

Macs are PCs with Intel i5/i7 processors and AMD or Nvidia GPUs.

I play on an iMac 2011 in bootcamp using Windows 10 and it plays pretty well considering its age.

A newer MBP should play it pretty well on high or medium settings.

You just need to buy a copy of Windows and a USB flash drive to aid in the installation.
