Mosin 91/30 with P.U vs Winchester mod .70 with hunting scope

hey guys. I have been playing dayz for quite a long time (1025 hours give or take) and I'm stuck in a massive dilemma. I love both the Winchester with a hunting scope and the Mosin with a PU both sooo much. But being in slightly OCD I want to stick to a main gun and improve my skills with it. Either it being the Winchester or Mosin. I use both but ammo is hard to find for me for both guns and I just want you's opinions on what's best. I only snipe in this game but I love both winch and Mosin equally.

well the winchester has the much more powerful round if you want to incapacitate with one shot
but mosin ammo is easier to find

You got that changed up. Mosin has the much more powerful round.

To me personally, I like the mosin better, the PU scope is ass but the gun is stronger and the bullet is quicker + you find way more ammo for it ++ you can paint it. My favorite gun is still the SVD, for rather obvious reasons.

hmmmm yeah. I just wish they stopped changing the rarity of the guns so u could constantly find ammo and the guns in stead of not being able to rely on them

hmmmm yeah. I just wish they stopped changing the rarity of the guns so u could constantly find ammo and the guns in stead of not being able to rely on them

imo it should be way harder to find high end military gear(svd,ukassaultvest,ak101,aug,...),but there should be more civilian weapons like the winchester. Ammo should be less accessable too. It's just way too easy to get fully geared atm. It takes me 30-45 min tops to get stacked.

Winchester M70 is probaby the best rifle in terms of actual gameplay, statisticly the SVD is better but it lacks the long range scope so its balenced. The mosin in my opinion is the middel ground sniper with the CZ sniper

you just have to get used to it, then the pso1 is great aswell. But obviously the extra zoom is nice

I definitly prefer the winnie. It gives you the ability to scout with your weapon on longer range so you dont have to switch to binocs every time. and who knows, they might add mid-range scopes for other civillian weapons some day. for the moment you just need a backup short-med range weapon such as the ump or an ak. + the sound is pretty nice on the gun.

Hmm yeah. I love both but I do like putting that brutal ww2 pu into players. And you can't beat the sound of th mosin lol

Winchester ammo is very rare - I haven't come across either in .60 yet, but I want an FX - have lots of 45acp ammo - anyone seen where they spawn?

umm. Maybe look on the fourms for a post relating to that. I know they spawn in general millitary loot and US Heli Crashes. But winchester ammo isnt a problem i got a couple of spots that is 1/3 chances of getting a box. Not many ppl know lol

hahaha nah didnt know they spawn alot in the tents? but nah its just the red houses spawn alot

yea the ammo spawns a lot in those small brown stands, but damn... the red house? Double story red?
