Rx 460 ingame performance?
Hi! With 0.60 my hd 4870 is not supported for this game anymore. I have no money for a complete pc refresh, but i really would to buy a new card, and i think a 4GB version of 460 should give decent performance for low price. I have a Core 2 Duo E8500 3,2 Ghz OC (maybe i will overclock more). Anyone of you may got the card, and i want to know what to expect from this card. Please leave comment only, when you got the card and tested it ingame!

I have a gtx 970 and an I5 4690k and I run the game perfect at 1440 maxed out. 970's are pretty cheap nowadays. I've also heard, but I'm not sure you may wanna research more, that this game and arma 3 are more cpu dependant than gpu. So you may wanna look at that route.

Yeah, but 970 in my country is still costs more than an average monthly paiment. I play mostly World of Warships, Fifa, and some strategy games, so i don't need that big of a performance, and i don't want to spend as much. A 460 has same price of 750ti, and costs a bit more than a half of a 970, and also a 970 would bottleneck my cpu even if it is overclocked. And I don't want to play the game higher resolution than 1080p. So this is why i asked for someone who may tried the game with a 460.

You can get a 1060 for the same price/cheaper and the 1060 outperforms the 980 in some areas.

i get between 40-120 with my rx 480 oc at 1200+gz and a i7 4790k, solid state drives... not sure if that helps, but i believe the game will be more than playable and alot better than what youa re used to with the 460.

No, don't get a graphics upgrade.

First off just get a new pc, save your psu, hdd, cd drive, and stuff like that. Replace the mobo ram and cpu. then get a gfx card

that 1060 is pretty OP for 250$ kinda regret not getting down on that instead of the 480, but no complaints on the 480 so... eh...

Guys we moved a bit off topic!
1# I just simply asked for someone who played the game with a 460. I know everything of the new graphics cards, but because this game is not well optimized, i would know how a cheap card peforms (especially the rx 460) with the new patch.
2# I do not have money for a new pc, in the near future i could buy one only if i win the lottery or something. My pc made in 2008 so pointless to save anything of it.

Dude, i'm from Eastern Europe. As a student i get 130 dollars for a month working 4 hours per day under schooltime. If i could buy a new pc, i would have one. Even with a normal 8 hour job i would get 260. But i can't afford that under schooltime.

I understand bro, thats why i said a 460 will have you better off than what you are used to. it has over a ghz core clock which is op for most any game out right now,. the memory leak issue with dayz kinda blows so the 2gb will be cutting it close, you might end up gettting some of those memory dump crashes but its not gonna be too bad, I play on a gb card on one of my computers runs fine. i end up pusing close to if not over 3gb of video ram after an hour or so on dayz on my 480. but yeah, just saying, i'd watch them flash sales and golden box deals and stuff you will be surprised what you can pick up for a just a little bit, one component at a time. . .

I don't know how well a RX 460 will do but I imagine it can be like mine.
at all times, except when you are driving a car and there is of another car within render distance, and you get 12 frames, a nice little reminder of the good ole dx9 dayz.. really tho, you got more stream processors in your 470 like 1000 more, as well as more and faster vram. that DDR 4 is apparently a big impact as well. I got the 480 with the haswell i7 pushing ddr 3 at 1833 and im at 40 frames in cherno on maxed out settings.

It is also a huge gap between 460 and 470-480.

core clocks are same. . .

Core clocks are not what gives the major performance of a card. Compute units, cuda cores/stream processors etc.
