How long does it take you to get geared?

I lost my character with almost 30 kills this morning :(, so I went to get geared again. Within 4 hours real time I have a VSS + 1 mag, winchester +60 rounds, fal mag, full plate carrier set, hundreds of 556 rounds (Traded M4 for VSS), items for a full ghillie, and a tent in my backpack. Why do people complain about gear being hard to get? No I did not server hop or dupe. I did however steal the VSS, Plate carrier, and Ghillie Supplies.

It depends on what a person considers geared. I consider any gun with at least twenty rounds of ammo enough to defend myself with. In this case about twenty minutes to forty.
People complain more because they don't want to spend any time at all gearing up... They want their geared up character and not to die so they don't have to start again.

I bet he looted on a zero pop. If theres nobody on your server yeah looting military bases is really easy. But that't kinda lame.

I only play private servers with high pop. That loot is legit.

Also, there are no plate carriers right now, so I call shenanigans.

from one corner of the map to the other you need like 40min without loot something so I would say full gorka + any weapon but not much ammo 2-4 hours

wow seriously, 4 hours to get yourself geared? maybe you should server hop like everybody else.
the game is flawed by the amount of loot spawning, been trying to complete a smersh for quite some time and havent found a single piece at all and even server hopping doesnt give me much satisfaction in finding them.

have so far 2 pristine ammo containers full of 60x ammo packed doubled mags, all pristine.. yet no smersh at all. -.-

gearing up usually takes me like 30-40mins then I'm ready for whatever again.

There were about 20 people on the server I was soloing and trying to loot so I stayed away from really high pop. There arent any plate carriers? How come I have found 3 in the past 4 days?

luck obviously? ive hopped frequently and taken routes through 4-5 helicopter sites in total and kept hopping until i ran out of food.

I'm honestly just curious on how long it takes people to get geared. It takes me about 4 hours on average to have the clothes I want + a gun with 100 or so rounds. I was just curious of other peoples time to get geared.
