Blaklandz server on Namalsk features AI soldiers with various levels that can and do kill you easily and from a distance if you're not careful, making the PVE experience challenging and interesting. It includes a lot of custom areas to visit and loot. It's a US server with playable ping if you're in the EU. Nice to play PVE and have to shoot at something that shoots back at you, good practice for PVP.
Also found UK/EU Sunrise NO TRADER Hardcore - No Trader PVE servers are more fun, since you the game isn't just loot and sell. This one is set in Chernarus but is more challenging to survive as it's colder and there's lots of zombies and they're everywhere, so must be careful.
Even if it's not your thing (it's very harsh) it's one of the most atmospheric servers about.
Does it get populated or it is empty
I'm sure biased as (b)admin, for me it comes close to how DayZ played as a survival game should be.
Like Ranceed wrote, concept is for vets which search a survival challenge.
Server has no rules, play like you want. Gameplay can be harsh, but its usually also fair..
The reason why you die on CA is YOU. (wrong decisions, bad priorities etc)
Once you learn how the game works, you'll find yourself shot in the back more often than you'll find yourself dying of the Environment.
Yeah this game isn’t easy so it’s not for everyone

Quiet. I know you're the kind of person to do it, too, judging from your other discussion posts. It's not a matter of skill, shooting someone in the back is a matter of sweat and having too much free time on your hands.
The game is easy. The players are the issue.
No need to get so worked up you will get the hang of it
Surviving in-spite of other players is the core of the game that’s what it’s all about and it’s the way it’s meant to be played
The risk of losing it all makes it exciting but it’s not for everyone especially if you get upset or easily frustrated enough to rage every time you die
Like I said it’s not for everyone and that’s why they have pve servers for those who aren’t ready or can’t handle the full game
Nah man. I'm a more empathetic person. This kind of game originally excited me because I thought it would be more of a kind of PvE "us vs them" kind of game. Where you might have to band together to stand a chance and that kind of thing.
Even the store page says that you can meet new people and blah blah, you could be good or a robber etc. Come into the game and it's nine times out of ten shot in the back from some ♥♥♥♥ who doesn't even have the common courtesy to say "♥♥♥♥ you" before they put a bullet in your spine.
The environment is only a challenge for the first ten hours of the game. You get a hang of it and then the zombies and cold will never challenge you again. That's the real reason everyone plays like a psychopath. Because it's the only thing that makes the game worth playing. Either you shoot someone in the back or they'll shoot you when you turn around, and then you just wasted two to three hours of your life on nothing at all.
Maybe if I was a bigger fan of PUBG and FPS games I would be more into this. But I'm not. Even Hunt: Showdown has more interesting PvE (and PvP, to be frank). Just a real letdown of a game to me.
EDIT: It doesn't help that the PvE feels limp-wristed as hell on top of it all. Zombies literally stutter in front of you when they die, like they're running on dialup internet. The impact of your weapon feels anaemic against the zombies. It doesn't matter if it's your fist, a kitchen knife, or a sledgehammer, the stun animation is the exact same.
All the zombies have the same AI, there's no special zombies to break up the monotony (not even something simple like crawlers or walkers or super-sprinters, anything.)
It's just a PvP game that tries to sell itself as PvP/E when the PvE feels more like a sidenote than anything else.
When you try to force your way on others or complain about how others play then it’s clearly not the right game for you that’s all and that’s what I meant about the game not being right for everyone some people are bossy and only good at complaining so it’s gonna be difficult for them in game
Just stick to pve and don’t be ashamed or so judgmental of others
you are clearly upset, you dont need to resort to vulgar name calling when things dont go your way
i didnt dodge anything, you are allowed to play the way you want and so is everyone else and the game has always been this way, most can handle it and some cant so they complain, it happens in every online game
sneaking around and getting a good position without being seen takes a huge amount of patience and skill, after you play a while you will see what I mean but i guess some people are only good at complaining and for the record i typically play as friendly and only shoot players when I have to
Crawler, jogger, runner, tanky z and more ..all with different stats like health, blood / health / stamina damage, resistances are available since years on modded. I would call that variety.
If the difficulty to survive is high enough most people tend to be very friendly.
No offense, i think you never played on a challenging dayz server..
