DayZ's Ps4 port...

So DayZ is being ported to Ps4.
Some people say it's good for us PC players, some say it's bad.
I'm leaning towards bad.
Any thoughts?

Very true. If anything, DayZ will be unfinished for even longer now.
I hate consoles so much...

Look at Battlefield ,Cod all console ported to nothing but problems.Now they doing samething might as well unistall this game it wont get any better.

In my experience when a game is cross platform the PC version suffers. DayZ is a money spinner for Dean Hall and Bohemia. They are trying everything to delay it (cross platform/new engine) as they probably know that they will not be able to deliver what has been promised. I sincerely hope im wrong as ive had some of my most intense experiences in gaming playing DayZ. Unfortunately the pattern has been set. Fingers crossed though.

Note that Titanfall was going to be a pc only game but when they went to Xbox they could make the game 64-bit making the game's performence WAY better. If Dayz does go to PS4 they might make the game 64-bit. This would be a MASIVE improvement on the game.

Dean repeatedly spoke about how PC is better and will remain the priority. I think if anything, this will bring about better optimization for the PC version (which is so desperately needed) before console development can even begin.

As long as its fun to play and i can play with friends that dont have pc, i couldnt care less, i dont see why everyone has a hissy fit about it.

But if both versions are going to improve eachother wouldn't that make even MORE money?

It likely won't be cross-platform. As in, ps4 players won't be on the same map as PC players because a mouse would give PC players a huge advantage. I wouldn't be surprised if the PS4 version was very different than the PC version, similar to minecraft on xbox vs PC.
