Outrunning zombies?
Is there no way to outrun zombies, or do they just chase you forever.

Break line of sight and if need be lock the suckers in buildings.

Eventually they get tired, and once you can break line of sight most of the time they stop. Cut through buildings n such... it'll help.

lol everytime i try to cut through buildings i just run into another zombie and start my own Conga line...

Do what i did once after attracting zombies.... run with a horde haha. You will have to circle back to pick up the stragglers, but those guys will follow you all over the map if you try. Seriously ran like 15 thru elektro on up to novo a while back.

Or just run down a steep hill (one that slows you down) and they just die of falling damage.

I had 3 chasing me the other day... was running through a field, saw a pig, ran around it and the zombies started chasing and tring to hit it instead.
That has been the highlight of my DayZ career in over 100hrs. I actually stopped to watch for like 30 seconds.

I watched a hopper chase a pig around Elektro yesterday before spotting me.

When they first start after you just zig-zag until u get some distance. Then run flat out an as others have said try to break thier line of sight.
Seems they are only fast for a short distance and will then fall back quickly.
I tried a couple times to lock them in buildings, didn't work
