Eating raw human meat (or cooked) won't get you killed. BUT you will get the "curru" disease. And the only cure for that disease, is .357 in the head.
Some people use this as a tactical thing. If you are about to die from hunger, eat human flesh to survive so long you choose your place of death, and collect your stuff after respawn. I don't have to do that, since I am good enogh to find food...... ;)

No need to do so there is enough food everywhere…

Im assuming you play the original Chernaurus map so fruit trees should be plentiful.

Stone Knife, combine 2 small stones. You should make these as soon as you spawn in. They are quite handy. Chickens are everywhere. Bones make hooks, hooks = fish. Cans are opened with stone knife. Good luck.

Best advice right there.

Also, if you are struggling to find them, small stones can be crafted from rocks with a pick-axe or sledgehammer (I heard also with the pipe wrench, but I haven't tried that yet)

Not sure about the pipe wrench, but crowbars and screwdrivers will work too.
