Can no longer repair ammo per hotfix?
some boner opened a bug case with DAYZ telling them you can repair AMMO with a weapon cleaning kit and this hot fix changed that. This is the note in the bug report and in the hotfix...thoughts?

"Hello JerryK.
This has been resolved internally - it will no longer be possible to repair ammunition with repair kit as it was never an intention for it to work that way. The damaged ammunition will not jam the weapon.
Regards,
Geez"

Good fix. Players won't waste cleaning kits for nothing anymore.

And the big deal is? Why repair ammo? Why repair almost all weapons to pristine? This is Day Z this isn't a perfect world where everything has to be new and amazing condition.

It's a good thing we cant repair ammo.. that's beyond dumb.

if it doesnt jam your gun anymore then thats awesome....but before bad ammo jammed your gun and combined with a damaged mag i couldnt get through a single clip without jams...so if it has no effect on weapon jams thats awesome

Even if it did jam your gun, I welcome that too lol.

Fights get pretty intense when that goes down.

i agree but nothings worse then your pistol jamming when you got 3 or 4 zombies running at you and no place to hide....which generally leaves 2 options go loud with the big boy gun or or melee lol

unfortunately, yes. people will stack those bullets til they are pristine/worn. hopefully they fix that too in the near future.

I am curious if damaged bullets does affect the health of a weapon...like if it doesnt jam them does it make the weapon degradation faster I believe it does for suppressors.

They've already 98% given us rotten and damaged food, clothes, tools etc.... Don't make it worse by getting them to ruin the ammo and weapons more than what they are now. That's what happened in another game that was, miscreated and it's dead now. No-one plays anymore.

Miscreated died for another reason. They failed to ever fix base building! People kept stacking them in the sky lmao

other wise, that game was solid! Loved it.

But really, Day Z isn't one to give us everything pristine, its survival, make due and try to live. Easy as that.

Miscreated died for more reasons than that. I played the game back in the early days with over &k hours into it. Wasn't just base building. Without adding mods, base building only allowed you to build 3 stories high, anyway. Two stories with a roof, 3 w/o one.

It's sad it died not long into the point where they added the passage way into the city with the sewer systems. That was one hell of a time

I'm surprised that this game doesn't have all sorts of underground pathways, seeing how all major cites in the world have them due to, their sewer/water lines and underground broiler systems.
