Cholera, the most annoying disease in the game

So, just as a run down, I haven't eaten any raw food and I haven't drank any water out of freshly spawned bottles or canteens yet I keep contracting cholera and it is getting VERY annoying. Any suggestions on how to fix it? Before you ask, I don't drink any lake or river water, just the stuff from the water pumps.

Won't let me wash my hands, not to mention I almost always wear gloves

You probably haven’t beaten it since first contracting it. You need to get tetra pills or to beat it naturally you need to have all your needs met white for several in game days it may take even a week ingame. Vitamins help. Stay near a water source and keep eating. Stay indoors and don’t move much. If you’re not already geared it could be a death sentence.

fever. accelerated dehydration, and puking whenever I eat or drink too much

The way I would cure it is to take tetracycline tablets. One pill directly after the last one ends until the disease symbol disappears and then one more to be safe.

I would also try to keep all my stats high for a strong immune system.

Currently living outside Zelenogorsk and the clinic doesn't spawn almost any meds.

Yeah sometimes it's like that, especially in popular areas like zelenogorsk.

It's either time to try different places or find the other players in town and hope they have some.

Check the houses and cars surrounding the hospital, and kill all the nearby infected. Loot is in a bubble that isn't limited to only the hospital.

After a few days the hospital spawn points get overloaded with scrubs. It's the only time it pays to loot cycle by moving all those scrubs out of there so fresh items can spawn because often the meds we all need spawn inside the medical clothing. Those med clothes though are great for rags if you don't find any Fast Acting Bandages (FAB's)

i noticed that loot can respawn inside clothing.

I've seen it spawn inside but didn't think that it may be re-spawning. That's good to know that it does.

Eat and drink in small amounts until your food and water is at max, make a fire and get the heat buff, take tetracycline, multivitamins. Only drink from wells or purified water sources.

Do not (!) drink from bottles / casks you found in surrounding. Since the immune system been tweaked you need to have 9000 for resistance vs deceases, which means u must be 100% feed. Otherwise vitamins. Always use purification (chroline) pill if you wanna drink someone outside from water taps. U can live with cholera this is NP, but you need tetracycline. For late stages you need 5 pills. You could reduce this amount to 3-4 pills if you use Vitamin + Tetra (3 - 4 cycles). Vitamins alone will cure first stages of most deceases (e.g. flu and cholera). However you will need 1 - 2 Vits.
