what are your system/connection specs and current in game video settings
and what are your system/connection specs and current in game video settings
blame it on the netcode or the amount of traffic or whatever...fact is that on wifi you have always envorinmental interference (may it be other persons/machines sharing your wifi or external sources of disturbance) which will lead in the case of DayZ to a massive packet loss (of data) resulting in lags/kicks.
OK wiseguy, not everyone has the financial means for a high end hardware setup, and a decent ISP to run WiFi6 at 8 or 9 Gbps at their homes. The vast majority of players posting about problems related to online gaming, play on clapped out old potato's, using single band home routers bought at the bargain store, that stands on the floor next to the fridge in the kitchen. Running an Ethernet cable in such scenarios will always trump WiFi, even if it is over cheaper Cat 5 or 6 cable.
Even if I had a high end tri-band router and a specialized Ethernet controller interface on my PC's MOBO, I'd still opt for a wired connection using a Cat6a or higher.
ast offered sage advice for OP's issues, yet you offered nothing other than a snide remark, clean up your act man.
sadly the game is extremely prone to packet loss.
Here's the deal: if you're telling the person his Wi-Fi network is bad, but it's not - congratulations, you just created a mountain of work and created a financial burden that wouldn't have existed otherwise - all based off almost zero information actually given about the problem. People like yourselves should simply not give computer advice, because you automatically think any advice you give is helpful without actually doing any of the actual work that actually goes with giving people helpful advice. All you're capable of doing is leading people down dead ends becauser you're not able to take the time to listen and understand people's problems. That's not "sage advice", that's called ego.
Assuming that any problem that person has is automatically an issue with their network setup is "newb advice". Due to newb advice, people like the OP and others will end up wasting a lot of time and money because people like to talk out of their ass. Then professionals like myself get called over to the OP's house and have to explain to them they can't trust random forum advice on the internet.
Like, you aren't even curious about how long the person joins a server before getting disconnected? You are aware that if someone is instantly disconnected upon joining servers, it most likely has nothing to do with Wi-fi.
OP, do you experience disconnections in other games? If all of your games disconnect intermittently, then it might be a network issue. If not, then it's more likely another issue entirely. If your network is having issues, it's likely not going to be just 1-game that demonstrates that to you.
just buy an Ethernet cable if you want to play Dayz
you can get a 50FT one for cheap on amazon
