Posting this in general discussions as well to bring more attention.

This person has the exact same issue as me and other people with an RX 5700, Every other game ive tested runs without problems like this except for EA battlefront 2 dx12 which has a similar problem but only when i enable post processing. My specs right now are rx 5700 8gb/R5 3600/16gb ddr4 3200/2 ssds/850 watt 80 plus gold psu. The framerates are acceptable on all extreme settings usually 50-60+ fps at all times. I am really hoping someone might have more information on this or a possible solution.

Disable AtoC. AMD cards are notorious in not supporting it.

I will give that a try and report back, thank you for the response

Just tested and the problem persists with that turned off, was worth a shot though

Try to fiddle around with other things aswell. Maybe ambient occlusion (althoug unlikely). Can you send a screenshot/video with the issue visible?

Because the ones in the thread you sent are clear issue with AtoC

Hey, I have tried all combination of settings, Atoc/ao off doesnt matter. Also i could take a video/screenshot but the pictures i linked are 100% exactly what i am experiencing, not just similar. Thanks again

Fixed a lot of issues with these 5700xt's recently!! (Work in IT)

Ensure Motherboard BIOS is up to date, ensure you are running Windows 10 1909 version (uses the PCIe 4 better)

Use something like DDU to remove any lingering older drivers then install the latest AMD Drivers.

Also try disabling free sync if enabled and use in game vsync
.
Finally DO NOT use any MSI Afterburner software or other GPU monitoring software, if you want FPS use steams overlay!! (really seems to ♥♥♥♥ up these new AMD GPU's!)

Also as an after note, just checked a 5600 (yes 5600 not 5700) users Dayz.cfg file under documents\dayz\ the settings which we found to work where the following:
MSAA=0;
PostFX=2;
VSync=1;
FXAO=1;
AToC=0;
AnisoFilter=4;

Might be worth having a look!
Good Luck!

I heard new AMD cards still have problems with drivers. So most likely thats the issue, not the game

Yeah, I really do like the card and bought it even after hearing horror stories...the performance is great on it and im glad i didnt get any of the more serious problems others have had. Its just that Dayz is one of my main games atm since livonia is out and the bug is definitely annoying lol. But yeah i don't know...no problems with other games aside from Battlefront 2 but i can work around it by disabling post process atleast. This is all on a fresh reformat clean driver install all windows updates latest bios latest chipset, ive exhausted all my attempts at this point, although a part of me is curious about what would happen if i rma the card, if it would happen again

I am also running the XFX DD ultra version of the 5700

Tried a whole lot of things. tested more games just to make sure it isnt my card, and the results are still the same. Ill post back here after the next drivers come out and let u all know if anything changes

I'm not having the exact same issue but definitely an artifact issue, mine is with the sky it's just not nice at all as in tiny multicolour bricks and looking up is a circle of perfect sky .... Thankfully I dont worry about the clouds so I ignore it. I think it may be a driver issue (I'm hoping atleast).

RX5700xt Here with a 3600x and 16gb Ram @ 3600mhz.
