My life for a shovel

been looking for 3 solid days for a shovel, find hoes, brooms, sledges, pipes. Literally everything else other than said shovel.

Now im looking in all garages/sheds/farms/train cars I can find. Also emptying these trying to respawn a shovel.

Am i missing something? is spawn rate of those gone done? Or spawn location?

Trying to bury some boxes, is there anything else i can use instead of the shovel?

pickaxe and farming hoe do the job aswell.

if an item reaches its minimum amount on the map, it will respawn. lets say theres 23 shovels on the map and their minimum spawn is set to 20.... u can empty all these sheds and garages u like, but the 23 shovels are still around the map and wont respawn unless theres less than 20.

Trying to build a wall, so i assume I can only use a shovel?

anyone else want to join up and run around official sites, maybe continue building this little base? would want a more mature person(troll AWAY, lol) Bonus points if you have a shovel, lol

First skimmed read this and thought you wrote you were building a well. Rushed to check if I had missed something in 1.18.

Things like Shovels, Hoes, PIckaxes, seem to always spawn in pairs so if you find one you probably will find another one in a shed close by. If you are inland check out the farms in the long cattle sheds where they tend to melt into the ground texture so easily missed if you do not run the length of the shed.

instead of a shovel, you can use a hoe, it will spawn more often, it can also be dug and buried, and if you couldn't even find it, return instead of spawn after 10-15 minutes, moving 300-500 meters away, but before you leave, take all the items that will spawn in place of the shovel.

You want a garden hoe to bury stuff. It's lighter than a shovel and can be repaired with the sharpening stone.
