cant eat or drink

everything was fine yesterday till last night EST. i can put food in my hands pears opened cans and when i goto eat it i press left click and nothing happends. it also doesnt have any prompts on the hud. i can place it on the ground and pick it back up but i wont get prompts to eat, so im dieing of starvation. any ideas?

sounds like desync causing the famous handslot bug... a relog should fix it.

You need to hold down the (L)eft mouse button to eat.. and I 'think' you hold the (RT) on controller to eat as well..

Agreed. If reloading does not work. Do the basics, Clean out your dayz folder, Restart/reset your modem/router. make sure you are not on wifi. check what you are running in the back ground.

this, on some modded severs you'll have to remove gear covering your face to eat.

Not just modded servers - gas masks will block the piehole even on vanilla since the chemical gas zones were implemented.
