[SOLVED] random damage with no sound, but damage like bullets

So, basically, I logged on, and I was close to Krasno Airport, while moving up to the houses, I started getting rapidly damaged (shot?) and died in maybe 3 to 4 seconds of being damaged? One thing to note that I did NOT start bleeding (i was not wearing any vests), but my clothes got ruined immediately. I brushed it off as a random kill from some other player and thought it was a bug maybe. I respawn close to Svetloyarsk, get some basic gear, wander to the police station, nearly get killed by a freshie (which I kill), I for some stupid reason tought I could get rid of the infected around the station by shooting them, but that was a mistake since my suppressor broke after like 2 mags (confusing). I continue to shoot the infected without a suppressor with a mlock, and I start getting shot again, ruined clothes, no sound, just the sound of the clothes getting ruined. I get scared and prone down, notice I'm not bleeding or anything, around 3 seconds pass and I get shot (still no sound) and die.
This was in a vanilla server, so I really don't know what happened. Can someone explain what that was, since in my 200 hours I have never seen anything like this.

Sounds like a hacker, official servers don't have as good protection as community servers since they're not monitored by admins and rely solely on BattleEye anticheat.

well, he said vanilla...this hasn't necessarily be the same as official.

apart from that you can find a pistol silencer in every guardhouse or policestation on official and they're pretty common, even in the spawn areas.

To explain how the hacks work
(i've watched them on youtube, the ones that you pay a monthly subsription for, that has auto-updates every patch to avoid the anti-cheat)

The player has boxes on screen floating, that have steam names of different players, if the box in the sky is Red, shooting that box, will not kill the player because he is currently either in a building, or running in the woods.
But if you have a strong weapon like a mosin, and you see the box go green, that means player "DemonHunterXXX" can be shot and killed even if he is like 3000m away from you.
You shoot the green box, and the program auto-calculates the bullet travel and distance, and aimbot shoots into the sky, and the bullet will land and kill the enemy player.

They dont even care about your loot, they hunt players with hacks for sports.

So when you suddenly die from nothing, no sound no enemies around in a place where you think nobody would ever see you, then its a 99% chance its a hacker shooting the green boxes with a mosin or any other high calibre gun.

The only way to avoid this, is playing on private servers, private servers have online Admins 24/7 that can track logs, of everything a player does ingame, and ban a player forever out of their server. (IP+SOFT+steamaccount ban)

Community servers have less probabilitys to have hackers but they still can get there, ive seen one hacker using speed hacks I was on my bullet proof car on comunity server and he was runing fast close to my car until I stop my car so he could shoot tru the window. but yes official servers have alot of hackers as already been mentioned, ive some videos that I recorded by myself in the last patches, its annoying and what bhoemia does its wave bans, I dont think its enough, because in less than one week later after the wave ban you have cheaters everywhere, they usually make their partys at the weekends, so official servers are a surge of hackers on the coast at the weekends, I promissed myself to not play in officials again but I gave a chance in this 1.18 patch and now Ive been playing for a while and already have a LAR and a SVD without dying for a cheater. I think Bhoemia is improving on bans I think, would be awsome if we had a button to report the player who last kill you, that way would be much more easy to ban because Bhoemia would instantly check the DLL.s of the cheater on hes computer and would instantly ban, Im not asking too much because thats the most comon thing in FPS games.

I recorded this video bymyself and then later I got killed by this hacker he was literally playing with me, funny thing is I think they know the ammount of loot you have on because my friend didnt had much loot and the hacker was only targeting me the whole time, but in the end he killed us both.

OP, it was most likely an admin, admin's buddy, or a paying customer on the server. Find a new server. Play official, and you will probably not run into this as often. 95% of community severs have admins that will screw with you if you are not their friend/pay customer.

On official servers, admins aren't handing out admin tools to their friends and customers, so it happens less often.

that was not the case, the video that I posted was on official servers, the other case that I was talking about getting killed inside of my bulletproof car wasnt admins aswell because we call them and after 30 min they came and banned the hacker who was killing alot of people on the comunity server.
