black screen with obs

Im trying to recording dayz footage with obs but it doesn't work.. with game capture as source I get a black screen.. if I change it to display capture it becomes white.. ideas?

The old fix for this issue was going into your Game Capture properties and toggling the "anti-hack" box on and restarting your stream/preview seems to fix the problem.

Do you have Shadowplay ? I use it and it's more simple than obs. try using the old Obs, I had issues with the new one. I'm pretty sure if you run it in windowed mode it will work , but you prob don't wanna do that. Run it as admin too , i'll keep looking for more fixes.

Found this too , Are you using win10 ? cause win8 was causing issues with it. Below was a fix that worked.

If you remove(right click and 'remove') the scene for your game capture, then fire up DayZ, THEN add the game capture scene back and alt tab back to the game it should be good.

I have Windows 10 and OBS Studio(not classic).

I use display capture and it works great.

I use obs studio with win10 and have no issues with it with DayZ using game capture

Use windowed mode then press ctrl + alt + enter to make it full screen :)

are you talking about the screen in OBS itself? like the preview screen? if so that is black for me as well but it still records the game just fine. if that is what you are talking about try recording anyway and see if the actual video works. the preview box in obs doesnt display the game for me but the videos work fine when i record.

I used to use this quite a bit. Try window capture with DayZ in fullscreen windowed mode. I believe that's how I did it.
If the task bar is in the way at the bottom, right click it and click properties, make it auto-hide itself.
