Yellow "check engine" light: what to do?

Had 2 vehicles so far, happened to both. I'll be driving along and BOOM, light comes on, car shuts down, dead.

It's not from revving the engine too high as I've almost never done that. It's also not because of damage to the vehicle because I'm on a modded server that doesn't allow damage to vehicles.

All items on vehicle are in pristine condition. Radiator is full. Spark plugs, battery, and headlights are new. Gas is full. Also didn't get any prompts to fill it with motor oil.

Anyone know what's going on?

Take the radiator off, put it back on and fill the car fully with water.

Then check what the mod page says, works on vanilla for yellow engine light.

For my experience I lost 2 cars in four days (LIVO & CHERNO) because it is a bug or something that makes the cars move (making it crash with nearly objects) when server restarts. (Im suspicious about it is more marked when server population is over med when restart happends). Maybe is something about that.

Cars are broken atm. We have 2 cars with check engine lights and both have all pristine parts.

Fortunately I play on a server with a great admin who's able to jump in the driver seat and fix it. He said it's a common occurrence, and that there's literally nothing that can be done about it besides waiting for an admin. I feel for all you vanilla players out there...

I found a car, one part of the engine was red, the other 3-4 parts were green. Couldn't find a tool to repair the one part, looked like the air filter. No idea how to fix it.

The engine itself is independent of the parts and has its own "health bar". Using a Pipe Wrench, look at it under the hood and you will get an option to repair it. Like any item in the game it goes from pristine to ruined, so you can repair it so long as it's at least orange (seen either via the check engine light or looking directly at the engine itself). It's also the only thing in the game (afaik?) that you can repair back go pristine. Other than that the spark plug, radiator and battery can be replaced. Keep in mind the radiator empties out whenever removed, so fill it up when placed, otherwise the engine will be damaged pretty quickly.

pipe wrench repairs engine, electrical repair kit fixes the battery. tirerepair kit the wheels, epoxy putty for doors etc.
if the radiator or spark plug is ruined u gotta find new parts.

I think yellow check engine means moderate damage to the engine? Might be fixable with the big red wrench used on the engine

Got anything for truck reflector? Epoxy is a fail. I will try again.
