Then you can use you creativity and create step by step a "safe" base.
An idea is to surround your first fence row with spike wires, then create a 2nd fence row and a 3rd fence row if possible.
In your base build platforms for emergency exits N,W,E,S so any time you'll have intruders you'll be able to get out instantly and kill them.
No base can be safe enough, you can just minor the chances getting raided.
