the advantage of the 550 is the hunting scope but it's still a bolt action rifle, albeit it has an external mag.
personally I'd keep the SVD because it's the better allround weapon and harder to find.
you should find a 550 in any hunting area like castles, deer stands or summer camps.
No. The 550 has huge recoil so much that the weapon has not lowered enough for you to see the fall of shot if you miss.
On Livonia the new Eastern Castle has them along with the Tundra and from that level south you can find Blaze, Tundra, and 550 in many hunting stands, Hunting houses. ( The solitary ones about 1km from anything else, and feed shacks.
(on the other hand there's not much useful around it)
I'd look for a long range sniper, in this situation I would treat the SVD as an overpowered SKS to keep as primary, Winchester/550 as secondary.
